Corrosion Resistant E12-1 Brake Cylinder for Standard Gauge Freight Train

E12-1 corrosion resistant brake cylinder is a key actuator of the foundation braking system for standard gauge freight trains. The cylinder body and exposed parts are treated with special anti-corrosion coating and corrosion-resistant base material, effectively resisting erosion from rain, snow, salt spray and mining dust to extend service life. Driven by compressed air, the brake cylinder pushes the piston to generate thrust, and transmits braking force through the brake lever mechanism to realize braking and releasing of freight wagons. Application Scope

Compliant with UIC international railway standards, matched to 12-inch piston air brake systems of railway freight gondolas, covered wagons, tank wagons and export railway freight cars, serving as the core executive component of foundation braking system.

Core Function

Convert compressed air pressure delivered by distribution valve into linear mechanical thrust. The push rod drives brake levers and brake beams to press brake shoes against wheel treads for train deceleration and stopping. During release, built-in reset assembly retracts the piston automatically to separate brake shoes from wheels and release braking force.

Compatibility

Suitable for cross-border export railway wagons, industrial mining private freight cars, standard/narrow gauge general cargo carriages, compatible with 600kPa air brake pipeline systems.
